Awaken + Align: Yoga Basics Series
Saturdays in September: 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th at Earth Yoga Studio in Hillsborough, NC.
Whether you’re brand new to yoga or ready to revisit the fundamentals, this four-week series will help you build confidence, alignment, and a deeper connection to your practice. Each session blends personal guidance, mindful movement, and practical tools so you leave feeling supported and empowered.

Week 3 — Recharge Connect movement with breath while exploring common standing and balancing poses. We’ll play with hip-opening postures like lizard and pigeon (with accessible variations) and deepen into shapes like triangle, side angle, and wide-leg forward folds. Breath practices such as sama vritti (even breathing) will help center your mind.
Week 4 — Rest Experience the deeply restorative side of yoga. Learn how to create supportive “nests” with props, explore yin and restorative shapes, and review modifications for any pose. We’ll close with a gentle flow, then sink into extended relaxation to integrate everything you’ve learned.

As Above, So Below: A Series for Embodying the Tarot Suits
Every Saturday in October from 2 to 3:15PM at Earth Yoga Studio in Hillsborough, NC.
As above, so below. What lives inside of our cells expressed through our thoughts and beliefs, the actions we take and what lights us up, our emotions and our dreams, and our energy and the movements of our bodies. Come learn more about yourself, tarot, working with the elements, and yoga in this 4-week series. Connect with your intuition and like-spirited community, as the Veil thins and we welcome in Fall. No tarot knowledge or yoga experience required - come as you are.
Week 1: Wands
Come adventure with the wands suit and play with your inner fire. Class will begin with exploration of the wands suit, followed by movement through a beginner-friendly breath and yoga practice, to build some heat and stir our inner fire. We will then settle into a guided meditation around fire and transformation, and end with time for reflection with tarot, and a restful savasana to integrate what we learned.
Week 2: Swords
Take a breath, quiet your mind, and cultivate clarity, as we build a relationship with the element of air and the suit of swords. Class will begin with exploration of the swords suit, followed by movement through a beginner-friendly breath and yoga practice, to connect with the heart center. We will then settle into a guided meditation around our hearts and what it means to us for our hearts to be “unstruck”. Class will end with time for reflection with tarot, and a restful savasana to integrate what we learned.
Week 3: Pentacles
Experience grounding and a connection with the physical body, the Earth, and your lineage, as we journey with the element of earth and the suit of pentacles. Class will begin with exploration of the pentacles suit, followed by movement through a beginner-friendly breath and yoga practice, to offer a solid foundation to grow from the rest of class. We will then settle into a guided meditation to create roots and connect with the energy of the Earth. Class will end with time for reflection with tarot, and a restful savasana to integrate what we learned.
Week 4: Cups
Let’s be like water and flow together, receiving the nurturing and fluid energy of the element of water and the suit of cups. Class will begin with exploration of the cups suit, followed by movement through a beginner-friendly breath and yoga practice, to support softening into our intuitive and emotional worlds. We will then settle into a guided meditation that will invite connection with non-linear and creative expression. Class will end with time for reflection with tarot, and a restful savasana to integrate what we learned.
Rest as a Portal for Change
October 11 from 6 to 7:30PM
The trees are shedding their leaves and there is a crispness setting into the air. Our bodies begin craving warmth and coziness and more opportunities to slow down. Fall is an invitation to put to rest and express gratitude for what we have outgrown and no longer need.
How can we embody and receive the energy of the Earth through this season of change, as we transition towards the stillness, quiet, and reflection of Winter?
